Comers Platform
Comers Platform is the part of Comers used to manage your account, Organization, team, and access to Comers Core.
This is where you start working with Comers: create or select an Organization, add team members, manage Core instances, and launch the appropriate workspace.
Comers Start is the main browser interface to this layer.

Platform and Core have different responsibilities
Section titled “Platform and Core have different responsibilities”Comers Platform and Comers Core are connected, but they do not own the same things.
Platform is used to manage access to Comers and the customer’s basic setup:
- user account and sign-in,
- Organizations,
- team members,
- connecting Core instances,
- selecting and launching Core,
- subscriptions and access to purchased features.
Core manages operational commerce work:
- Orders,
- Products and Listings,
- Warehouse,
- Shipping,
- Messages and Support,
- Business Settings,
- other operational modules.
This keeps account, user, and access management separate from day-to-day sales work in Comers Core.
The Platform Organization
Section titled “The Platform Organization”A Platform Organization represents a company or other business that uses Comers.
Within it, you manage team members, access to Comers, and the Core instances linked to that business.
After a Core instance is connected, part of the business configuration is managed inside Core — for example Sellers, Stores, operational permissions, and Business Settings.
The Organization in Platform and the organization used inside Core are linked, but they serve different purposes.
Comers uses two related Organization levels:
- Organization in Comers Start is used to manage the customer account, team, and access to Comers Core.
- Organization in Core is used for day-to-day work with sales, Sellers, Stores, and other business data.
Typical setup
Section titled “Typical setup”In most cases, the Organization in Comers Start and the Organization in Core represent the same company.
They can have the same name, and from the user’s perspective they can be treated as the same business shown in two parts of Comers.
Example:
ABC Ltd.
→ Organization “ABC Ltd.” in Comers Start
→ one Core instance
→ Organization “ABC Ltd.” in Core
If you use Comers in the typical way, this is the setup you are most likely to work with.
More advanced setup
Section titled “More advanced setup”Comers can also link one Organization in Start to more than one Core instance.
Each of those instances can have its own Core Organization.
Example:
ABC Ltd. in Comers Start
→ Core instance A → Core Organization A
→ Core instance B → Core Organization B
This setup can be useful when a company needs to maintain several independent Core environments for a specific reason.
If you use only one Core instance, you do not need to deal with this setup.
See Organizations and Business structure.
Comers Start
Section titled “Comers Start”Comers Start is the panel where you manage your account, Organizations, team, and access to Comers Core.
Its main areas are:
- Organizations — create and maintain Platform Organizations,
- Members — manage people who belong to an Organization,
- Instances — review and launch linked Core instances and start enrollment,
- Profile settings — personal interface preferences.
If you have access to several Organizations, you can switch between them from the top bar.
From account to operational work
Section titled “From account to operational work”A typical first journey is:

A[Create account or sign in] --> O[Create or select Organization]
O --> T[Add team members]
T --> E[Connect Comers Core]
E --> L[Launch Core]
L --> W[Start working with sales]
For a new customer, Comers Start is the first place for setup.
Only after launching Core do you configure Sellers, sales channels, Products, Warehouse, and the other elements needed for day-to-day work.
Authentication
Section titled “Authentication”Sign-in and registration are handled through the secure Comers sign-in system at login.comers.app.
After signing in, you return to Comers Start and can continue working with your Organizations and launch Core.
Your password is not stored in the Start application.
See Account, registration & sign-in.
Core instances and enrollment
Section titled “Core instances and enrollment”A Core instance is the environment where the appropriate Comers Core panel runs for your Organization.
If you use the self-hosted version, Comers Start lets you generate a one-time token used to securely connect that instance to your Organization.
Once it has been connected and activated correctly, you can launch Core directly from Comers Start if you have the required permissions.
See Core instances and Enrollment.
Access still depends on permissions
Section titled “Access still depends on permissions”Seeing an Organization does not mean that you can perform every action in it.
Your permissions determine, among other things, whether you can:
- change Organization details,
- manage team members,
- generate a token for connecting Core,
- unlink instances,
- launch Core.
Once you enter Core, separate permissions apply to its modules and data.
See Members & team access and Team & permissions.
