SmartOps
SmartOps is the family of intelligent capabilities built directly into Comers modules.
Instead of moving work into a separate AI tool, SmartOps operates where the task already happens — while handling a customer message, organizing Products, preparing stock, or connecting Listings with Warehouse inventory.
A SmartOps capability can analyze available context, work automatically in the background, prepare a suggestion for review, or surface information that deserves attention.

SmartOps and Agent Comers
Section titled “SmartOps and Agent Comers”SmartOps and Agent Comers are related parts of Comers AI, but they solve different problems.
Agent Comers is cross-domain. A user can ask it to reason across several pieces of connected operational context and, where supported, perform permitted actions.
SmartOps is task-specific. It is embedded in a particular workflow and helps with a defined job, such as analyzing a message, preparing a reply, or proposing Warehouse structure.
This means users do not need to start a separate Agent conversation every time Comers can assist with a repetitive operational task.
SmartOps is broader than generative AI
Section titled “SmartOps is broader than generative AI”SmartOps does not mean that every capability is a generative-AI prompt.
Depending on the task, a capability can use an AI model, Comers data analysis, domain rules, or a combination of these mechanisms.
The common idea is the outcome: Comers uses the available business context to reduce manual work while keeping the operation inside the normal module workflow.
SmartOps in Messages
Section titled “SmartOps in Messages”Messages is one of the most developed SmartOps areas.
Background translation
Section titled “Background translation”SmartOps can translate supported messages into the user’s selected reading language.
This allows teams to work with conversations from several markets without manually copying text into an external translator. The original content remains available, and a failed translation can be retried.
See Messages — SmartOps in Messages.
Customer mood
Section titled “Customer mood”SmartOps can analyze supported inbound customer conversations and maintain a mood indicator together with the direction of the conversation.
This helps surface conversations where a customer appears frustrated or where sentiment is worsening. The indicator is supporting context for prioritization, not a replacement for reading the conversation.
See Messages — Mood and prioritization.
Message triage
Section titled “Message triage”A new supported message can be analyzed automatically so Comers can produce structured operational context such as:
| Result | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Summary | A short description of what the message is about |
| Topic | Classification of the issue or request |
| Urgency | How quickly the message may require attention |
| Sentiment | The tone detected in the message context |
| Recommended action | A suggested next step for the operator |
| Action required | Whether the message appears to require a response or another action |
| Due time | A deadline inferred from the message when one is available |
The analysis can use related Order, Product, Listing, and conversation context when those relationships are available.
See Messages — SmartOps in Messages.
Suggested replies
Section titled “Suggested replies”When a conversation supports replies, SmartOps can prepare a suggested draft from the conversation context.
Supported reply generation can also use relevant Business Instructions and Listing context, so the suggestion does not have to be based only on the latest customer message.
The operator can review and edit the draft before anything is sent.
See Messages — SmartOps in Messages.
Reply composition in the customer’s language
Section titled “Reply composition in the customer’s language”An operator can work on the reply in their preferred language and ask SmartOps to compose the final response in the customer’s language.
The reply workflow also supports an available tone such as neutral, friendly, or firm.
This keeps drafting, translation, and review inside the same Messages workflow.
SmartOps in Notifications
Section titled “SmartOps in Notifications”SmartOps results can enrich Notifications.
For example, a new-message notification can include the SmartOps summary and recommended action rather than containing only the raw incoming text.
Email notifications can use the same enrichment, allowing a user to understand the nature of a case before opening Comers.
See Notifications — SmartOps-enriched notifications.
SmartOps in Products
Section titled “SmartOps in Products”SmartOps also assists with building and cleaning the internal Product catalog.
Building Products from existing Listings
Section titled “Building Products from existing Listings”When an Organization already sells through connected channels, existing Listings can be analyzed as candidates for the internal Product catalog.
Comers can identify whether a candidate looks like:
- a new Product,
- a possible duplicate of an existing Product,
- a Listing that has already been imported.
The user reviews the result before applying it and can decide whether to create a Product, update an existing Product, link the Listing to an existing Product, postpone the case for later review, or skip it.
See Products — SmartOps and catalog organization.
Duplicate candidates
Section titled “Duplicate candidates”Comers can identify records that may represent the same real product.
Duplicate detection is a helper, not an automatic verdict. The user should review the candidate before merging or otherwise changing catalog records.
See Products — SmartOps and catalog organization.
SmartOps with Listings
Section titled “SmartOps with Listings”SmartOps can use Listing relationships when organizing both Products and Warehouse stock.
Existing Listings can be used to build the internal Product catalog, while Product-to-Listing relationships can be used to suggest which sales offers should draw from a particular stock item.
This keeps a Listing as a channel offer while still allowing Comers to reason about the Product and physical stock behind it.
See Listings — SmartOps around Listings.
SmartOps in Warehouse
Section titled “SmartOps in Warehouse”Warehouse includes guided SmartOps workflows for preparing stock structure.
These workflows follow a deliberate pattern:
suggest → review → edit → apply

Suggesting stock items
Section titled “Suggesting stock items”SmartOps can analyze visible Products and prepare a list of stock items that may need to be created in the selected Warehouse.
The suggestions can take into account Products and variants, Listing relationships, and whether stock already exists in the current or another visible Warehouse.
Before creation, the user receives an editable review table and chooses which rows should be applied.
See Warehouse — SmartOps: suggesting stock items.
Suggesting Listing-to-stock links
Section titled “Suggesting Listing-to-stock links”SmartOps can also propose which Listings should use particular stock items.
Comers uses the existing Product-to-Listing relationships and current Warehouse structure to build candidates. Before applying them, the user can review the list and adjust supported publication safeguards such as a safety buffer.
See Warehouse — SmartOps: suggesting Listing links and Listings — SmartOps around Listings.
SmartOps works in context
Section titled “SmartOps works in context”SmartOps does not operate on an unrelated copy of business data.
Capabilities use the current Comers context — such as the Organization, Seller, Store, Products, Listings, Warehouse, conversations, and related records available to the workflow.
Normal permissions still apply. SmartOps does not create a way to read business data or perform an operation that the current user is not allowed to access.
Automatic and on-demand capabilities
Section titled “Automatic and on-demand capabilities”Different SmartOps capabilities can run in different ways.
Some operate automatically in the background, such as supported message translation and message analysis.
Others are started by the user when needed, such as preparing a reply or generating Warehouse suggestions.
SmartOps output can also feed Notifications so the user is brought into the workflow when attention is required.
Human control
Section titled “Human control”SmartOps is intended to reduce repetitive work without removing control from the operator.
Where a result can lead to a meaningful business-data change, Comers favors reviewable workflows. Warehouse suggestions can be edited before being applied, Product candidates require decisions, and reply drafts remain reviewable before sending.
The goal is not to hide the decision. It is to make the decision faster and better informed.
